Ask and You Shall Receive!

Hey people!

About a year or so ago I saw one of the many makeup guru’s mention a travel makeup bag. This was not just any makeup travel bag it was an organizer. It contained pockets, pouches and a designated area for brushes. I mean this bad boy had everything! Now that I’m thinking about it I think Jackie Aina was the person who I first saw mentioned the bag. Ever since then, I’ve been on the hunt for one. Back then the prices I saw were $20 and up. At the time I was not interested in spending $20 on a travel makeup bag. I didn’t travel that much and when I did travel I was not taking much makeup.

Fast forward to last weekend. As I browsed Target’s makeup aisle looking for the new Covergirl Melting Pout Liquid Lipsticks (click the link for swatches) my eye happened to see a clearance sticker on one of the makeup bags I’d been eyeing. I thought it was a mistake and went over to investigate further. THERE WAS NO MISTAKE, IT WAS ON SALE! In fact they all were on sale. Every design, every size. Personally I like the Sonia Kashuk bags the best which happened to be the ones on clearance. I must’ve been in the aisle for 10-15 minutes contemplating which design I liked best, also which bag size would work best for my travel style. When I travel I tend to combine makeup, skincare, and other general toiletries in one bag so I needed a bag that would fit all of that. After trial like deliberation I managed to pick one.

The size I chose was around $9.50 on clearance (original price $18.99). I’m tempted to get one of the smaller bags also if they are still available.

While in the beauty section I stumbled across a hair gel from Miss Jessie’s. I’ve tried the Baby Buttermilk moisturizer which doesn’t smell the best. But made my curls pop! No lie, every time I used it I got complimented on my hair. I’ve also tried the Leave*In Condish which I didn’t really care for. If you know anything about Miss Jessie’s product you know they are not cheap. The Jelly Softcurls however was only $9.99 so I decided to pick it up. I have not tried it out yet so I will report back once I’ve had a chance to test it out.
