Overnight Oats

I saw a recipe about overnight oats a few months ago. I tried it and didn’t like it then. Fast forward a few months and I decided to try it again, my way. I used an old mason jar and combined:

  • Rolled Oats
  • Almond Milk
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Walnuts
  • Craisins
  • Agave (I normally would’ve used brown sugar but I was out so I used agave instead)

I slowly added each ingredient until it was the consistency I was looking for (you want it to be a bit watery). It will thicken up as it sits overnight and the oats soften and fluff up. I placed the mixture in the refrigerator overnight and viola! Ready to eat oatmeal!

*Tip: I personally don’t like cold oatmeal so what I do is put the mixture in the microwave for a little over a minute to knock the chill off.

All ingredients are interchangeable. Feel free to combine your favorite oatmeal combination and enjoy!

Be sure to let me know if you decide to try making your own version of overnight oats.
