NYX Misses

Hey people! I picked up 2 things by NYX that just did not work out for me.

I recently ran out of my eyeshadow primer. I use Urban Decay’s primer portion which is BOMB! However I’m not fond of the applicator they transitioned to a year or so ago. Also, I was looking for something a little more budget friendly. NYX has great products so I decided to give the eyeshadow base a try in the color nude skin.

Not a fan! I had high hopes as I mentioned NYX typically has great products. This product is VERY creamy. I have oily lids so I need something that will mattify my lids and keep the eye shadow in place.

I noticed while my lids did not get full throttle oily, by the end of the day there was creasing in my eyeshadow which never happens with the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

The second item I decided to try from NYX was their dark circle concealer. The first few applications I thought it had potential. THEN, dun, dun, dun….. As I was applying some this morning, taking my time and really paying attention to how the product was blending I noticed how unevenly the product blended out. I ended up using some Tarte Shape Tape over it to help blend the product more evenly. I’m going to attempt to use it one more time because it does give a nice “awake” look under the eye but it needs to blend evenly. I can’t walk around with patchy under-eyes!
