I’ve been talking about wanting to try a Buddha bowl for the longest. What is a Buddha Bowl? It’s a hearty dish made of various green, veggies (cooked or raw), and a grain like rice or quinoa. It can also include toppings such as nuts, seeds, or other superfoods.
This past week I had my first bowl. My husband, having listened to me talk about Buddha bowls and loving to eat with chopsticks, took upon himself to do the research, buy the supplies, and make us his version of Buddha bowls for Valentine’s day.
- Cherry tomatoes
- Steamed broccoli
- Sliced avocado
- Salad mix
- Roasted red potatoes
- Sautéed shitaké mushrooms
- Rice noodles (not included in photo)
Everything was quite delicious. This was just the start. I am looking forward to creating more Buddha bowl variations in my new bamboo bowls (which are awesome in case you were wondering).
