The weather is breaking and that means smoothie season is almost here. Time to retire those hot drinks and transition into some cool, refreshing alternatives.
Recently I got my hands on some blueberries and raspberries and was trying to figure out something to do with them. I decided to make a smoothie which I call Lavender Kiss.
- Half of a Banana
- Nut Milk
The color is gorgeous isn’t it?! It did not turn out exactly the way my taste buds envisioned. I think it was due to the nut milk. This was my first time buying nut milk which consisted of a combination of almond milk and cashew milk. It was not as sweet as I thought it would be which left the smoothie lacking something.
Next time, I will add honey or agave for some sweetness. Or, maybe I’ll use a sweeter milk. Maybe vanilla oat milk or sweetened almond milk. I’m also thinking this can be elevated with maybe some lavender or floral extract.
